Golf Course Information

Royal Dornoch Golf Club

Royal Dornoch Golf Club

Royal Dornoch is spellbinding and many golfers from all over the world make the pilgrimage to this natural links course at some point in their lives. It is often quoted as one of the must-play courses.

It's the timeless setting that makes Royal Dornoch such a pleasing place to play golf. It's wild, isolated and, at the same time, absolutely beautiful; there's the blaze of color in early summer when the gorse is in flower.

The pure white sandy beach divides the links from the Dornoch Firth and it all feels very humbling.

Formed in 1877, Royal Dornoch means exceptional standards and we always aim to exceed the expectations of our frequent visitors and loyal members. However, we aim to do this in a relaxed, informal environment, with an emphasis on traditional highland hospitality.

Nairn Golf Club

Founded in 1887 by Robert B. Finlay, Nairn is consistently ranked amongst the leading courses in the United Kingdom. The club has been very fortunate, and indeed honored, to have held an array of amateur golf tournaments. The club is one of only nine who have held the Walker Cup, Curtis Cup and the Amateur Championship.

Many hands have shaped Nairn Golf Club, and in 1887, Andrew Simpson, Keeper of the Green at Royal Aberdeen, laid out the original design. Old Tom Morris, the 'Grand Old Man of Golf', revised the course in 1890 and extended it westward over the Earl of Cawdor's property. Twenty years on, and the most prominent impact on the layout of the championship course was from James Braid, who altered tees and bunkers before creating new greens of singular subtlety. Then, in 1920, new holes at Delnies were designed by the irrepressible Ben Sayers of North Berwick before, once more, Braid returned to contribute his expertise. In 2018, the club undertook a large renovation project of the championship course from renowned architects, Mackenzie and Ebert.

Cabot Highlands - Castle Stuart Golf Links

Located in Inverness, Scotland, surrounded by the breathtaking Scottish Highlands, this celebrated property is woven into the fabric of the region's rich history. Featuring a rugged landscape hugging the shoreline of the storied Moray Firth, this is a property worthy of Scotland's 'Home of Golf' prestige.

Previously known as Castle Stuart, the newly acquired Cabot property is home to the renowned 18-hole Castle Stuart Golf Links, designed by Mark Parsinen and Gil Hanse. It also features a practice range, an art-deco inspired clubhouse, and the historic 17th century castle after which the golf course was named. While Castle Stuart Golf Links will remain unchanged, the property will expand with the build of a second golf course designed by acclaimed architect Tom Doak, scheduled to open in 2024.

Gullane Golf Club

Golf has been played over the links at Gullane for more than 350 years. Today, Gullane Golf Club is one of Scotland's most prestigious member clubs, mixing the finest tradition with some of the most admired natural links land in the world. Visitors are welcome to play our championship courses, which offer dramatic views and a golfing challenge to savor.

Gullane No. 1 (1884) has a long history of hosting national and international championship golf events, including the 2018 Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open and Ladies Scottish Open, the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open in 2015, as well as Local Final Qualifying for the Open Championship at neighboring Muirfield. Gullane No. 2 (1898) was laid out by the legendary Willie Park, Jr., and has also been used for Open Championship Qualifying, as well as the Seniors Open Amateur.

Gullane offers a unique range of golfing experiences for members and visitors alike, combining a major role in the history of golf in Scotland, great golfing conditions, and a truly spectacular environment.

Dumbarnie Links

Dumbarnie Links enjoys an historic setting on the north shore of Largo Bay, only 11 miles from the Home of Golf itself, St. Andrews. This beautiful and secluded corner of the East Neuk of Fife has the most glorious views to the south across the Forth Estuary to the great links of Muirfield, North Berwick and to Scotland’s capital city of Edinburgh.

What makes this site so rich is its position along a mile and a half of golden sandy beach, where dolphins and seals are a regular sight just offshore from the course. The topography of this unique 345-acre site allows panoramic views of the sea from every hole on what is classic traditional Scottish linksland.
