ATLANTA - On April 17th the Georgia State Golf Association hosted one of the nation's very first U.S. Adaptive Open qualifiers at Bobby Jones Golf Course. The U.S. Adaptive Open began in 2021, and has quickly cemented itself as the country's preeminent adaptive golf championship. Due to the event's overwhelming success, the USGA  implemented a qualifying system to ensure that elite players had a path to earn their way into the final field. 

Six qualifiers were held across the United States in Indianapolis, Indiana; Sarasota, Florida; Jurupa Valley, California; Haworth, New Jersey; Dallas, Texas; and Atlanta, Georgia. At each qualifier, the top male and female performers automatically secured a spot in the final competition. Ford Martin of Nashville, Tennessee, and Tessa Trojan of Canada emerged as the medalists at the Atlanta qualifier at Bobby Jones Golf Course, earning their places in the championship. The remaining slots were filled based on the players with the lowest scoring differentials in their respective impairment categories. The players listed in the table below, played in the qualifier at Bobby Jones and were added to the championship field this week.
